Ian was passionate about Australian up and coming Country talent and over the years he saw many unknowns he supported on the Radio go onto big things at Tamworth.

He was a stand out voice for Country music in the Hunter region always up on the news that makes up the thriving Independent country music scene.

Whilst there were other Country Music shows in the area, Ian presented a unique and experience-wise take that is so often lacking in other Country Music commentators. He loved the music he plays and sharing it with Newcastle.

He will be sadly missed.
